Right Age to Realize Your Baby Hopes

The current economic, political and social environment has significantly modified the lifestyle of modern couples, especially when comparing with just 50 years back. An issue that always arises is the right timing of realizing the couple's baby hopes. Is there really such thing as the right age for the woman and man?

Thus, talking for the woman being between 20-30, it is probably the most fertile period with less condition issues, implying that getting pregnant should be somewhat easier. Miscarriage rates are quite low and there is a good chance of approximately 80% to give a natural vaginal birth. However, the couple may be quite fresh and not that ready to introduce a new member, given that the existing family bonds are perhaps not that strong. In addition, studies and education in general can still be ongoing, while finances may still not allow significant additional costs. Depending also on the couple's previous experiences, originating family standards, country and area, the couple's baby hopes are influenced by nearby trends.

Jumping to the next decade, the 30s, certain aspects should have been crucially improved, such as the financial status and the wish to settle down, as opposing to the need to have adventures and a live-your-life thinking, evidenced in the previous post-teen era. Taking into account the relatively high fertility rates in the beginning of the decade, combined with successful socio-economic status, it may not wrong to state that this can be the optimum period for a couple to choose and realize their baby hopes.

Moving however after 35, the situation can change, while the closer the woman is to 40, the more the chances are for miscarriage or for a baby with Down Syndrome. Naturally, there is a specific number of tests that all women undergo, which are increasing post the age of 35, so as to be sure that the woman and the baby will be healthy. In case pregnancy is delayed, the fertility tests can identify what blocks the way, if it derived from the man or the woman and how this can be more efficiently tackled. The components of infertility are probably growing as contemporary people are probably moving away from the natural way of life, the chemically processed foods and the lack of physical exercise. Thus, infertility in US has now reached the 10% level and there are fears that this percentage will be further boosted. To make matters more complicated, the causes are more than one, indicating that treatment may be a more complex process, but still, the end of the tunnel is not that far. The respective science has evolved enormously, especially in the past 20 years, and the couple can be accordingly counseled so as to bring back their baby hopes.

It is extremely important also to note that not all women experience pregnancy the same way, as psychology, their health status and way of life, play a significant role. Obviously, this stands the man too, who will need to stay away of smoking or chemicals, while his age definitely matters.

As a result, there is no golden rule dictating via a formula the optimum age for a woman to get pregnant, but several factors need to be taken under consideration. In the end, the couple should be feeling confident and ready to proceed to this step, if not brand new way of life.
